wow! this past chapter was intense! it was crazy i have a all new hatred for amir. i mean really waht kind of person i dont care how self centered you are who does that to someone just for a little attention from your father! and they were soo nice to him always always treated him with respect adn kindness. okay soo hears what happened after amir opened all of his gifts and gave them away he went for a bike ride but first he said " maybe it would be for the best. lessen his suffering. and mine too. either way , this much had become clear: one of us had to go"(102). he said that then took his bike for a ride but first asked his father if he ahd seen his watch anywhere the one baba had given him on his birthday then he got a gift from ali and hassan adn new that he couldnt be around them anymore they were to good for him adn they deserved much better. anyways he then went and took money and the watch he had hiden adn went and planted them under hassans bed. then went and told his father that hassan had stolen ti from him. and hassan knew it was amir and hassan told his father and they went adn talked with baba and baba said he forgave him and that he jsut wanted to move on from it. that cut deep in amir i think. but ali and hassan knew that amir wanted them gone soo ali hassans father said no i want to go we dont watn to live here/ work here or for u anymore. and baba is taking this very hard he says havent i always provided for you given you waht u needed and ali was liek yes of course but its time we move on. and baba see ali as the brother he never had and soo this is very hard for him he doesnt watn to let him go. but ali adn hassan make him soo as baba is given them a ride to teh bus station amir jsut watches them go. he knows he a bad kid but i mean that is low he says that he knew hassan understood and was jsut standign up for him one last time but to not do anything and mess with peoples lives like that. hurt soo many people. anyways that was why this chapter was soo intense and hard to read in a way.

at amir party the one bully fromt eh alley and the hill side can with his parents because his father was friends with baba. he acted all nice and sweet infrnt of the adults and amir knew he would but amir also knew he was thosing in his mean cutting remarks that only amir and hassan would notice. he gave amir a bibliography of hitlers life. he knew it would bother amir. amir also noticed at that party taht hassan had to serve assef and hes mean followers with no back bone. i think that stung amir bc he knew he had treated hassan almost as bad as assef the onlyl difference was assef was forward about it and amir was backstabing about it. amir got many great presents that birthday but he ahted htem all all but one. the one that Rahim khan gave him a leather notebook bounded. he felt his fathers gifts adn everyone elses was just like blood money he said his father would ahve never given him a party like that if it wasnt for teh kite race he won. so his fathers bike adn watch adn everyone else money and presents he jsut wanted to get gone with all of it.

amir had his 13 birthday when i was reading and he and his father had a falling out along with amir adn hassan. ever since the day in the alley amir i think has felt guilty. and he should i think leaving his friend liek that or treatign him liek he is his friend but yet deosnt consider him one. amir leads hassan on. amir really is jsut mean to him during all of this he says "I want you to stop harassing me. i want you to go away, "i snapped. i wished he would give it right back to me, break the door open and tell me off-- it would hav emade things easier, better. but he didnt do anythign liek that, and when i opened the door minutes later, he wasnt there. i fell on my bed, buried my dead under the pillow, and cried""(88). he as in amir ended things that were going soo soo well with his father the one he always wished he would bond wtih grow close with and he messed it up he knows he did but its jsut because he was fighting with hassan. i dont like how amir hates it when his father invites hassan along with them i mean what does he expect hassan alway sto stay this servant adn never experiance anythign in life. he asked his father " Baba, have you ever thought about getting new servants?"(89). waht does the think his fathers going to say oh yes if ur fighting or not getting along with hassan we will jsut forget them even though htey do everything for us and woudl give there lives for us yes they r family but because your blood adn u asked me to ill go get new ones! amir is selfish! i mean granted hes only 13 but still he talkes / i donno if he acts but he wishes to be treated liek hes older adn more mature and then hes jsut selfish. anyways on to the next thing amirs father throws amir i huge 13 birthday party he says its for him but really tis for himself he jsut invites all of his own friends! thank goodness babas friend is there to be some sort of fatherly figure to amir atleast he can talk to someone soo someone can help guide him he tells amir " you know, you can tell me anything you want, amir jan. anytime."(99).

What i have been reading recently about is still in amirs childhood. as the reader were learning more of how he is treating hassan or how he sees him as does he see him as a friend or just as a servant boy. there was the big kite tournement.. and amir won! he won it all and as hassan runs off to go get teh winning kite for amir he gets it but runs into a problem. he gets traped in an alley bullies. they say to him " But before you sacrifice yourself for him, think about this: would he do the same for you? Have you ever wondered why he never includes you in games when he has guests? whey he only plays with you hwen no one else is around? ill tell you why, hazara. beacuse to him, youre nothing but an ugly pet. somethign he can play with when hes bored, something he can kick when hes angry. dont ever fool yourself and think youre something more"(72). this shows us how hassan feels but then while amir is watching all of this happens he says " I had one last chance to make a decision. one final opportunity to decide who i was going to be. i could step into that alley, stand up for hassan- the way hed stood up for me all those times in the past- and accept whatever would happen to me. or i could run. in the end, i ran"(76).this is in the end very telling to how amir see him he sees him as a servant boy and not a friend liek hassan thinks he is. im not sure how this is going to come out but someday hassan will figure this out.

As i continue reading this bookit has becoming more and more interesting. Right now Amir is learning how to except his fathers disapprovel. Amir is looking and searching soo badly just to find some sort of father figure in his life that he can look up to and relate or learn from. he wishes so that he and his father, Baba, could connect on any level. he feels his fathers blame at him for the lose of his wife, and Amir already feels guilt from knowing the reasoning why she is dead. Baba friend is really showing us that he sees what is happening adn realizes amir jsut needs someone an adult to look up to and even thought amir admires his father in everyway worships him like a god he knows he will never be likehim. Rahim Khan, his fathers friend, read a short story amir had writen adn went to show his father but again his father ended up blowing him off soo Rahim stept up and told him he would read it and he wrote this back to amir," Amir jan, I enjoyed your story very much. Mashallah, God has granted youa special talent. It is now your duty toh one taht talent, because a person who wastes his God- given talens is a donkey. you have written your stroy with sound grammar and interesting style. but the most impressive thing about your story is that it has irony. you may noy even know waht that word means. but you will someday. it is somethign that some writers reach for their entire careers and never attain. you have achieved it with your first story. my door is and always will be open to you, Amir jan. i shall hear any story you have to tell. Bravo. your friend, Rahim."(32) this is a very telling passage from teh book. it shows us that his father doesnt pay any attention because other wise his father would be telling him this it also shows that amir is a very creative and incredible smart child. i see this as a little bit of foreshadowing because Rahim says in his letter that he is always there to read any story he has to tell. i see that as forshadowing because i think he will turn into the father figure in his life. it is a little ironic because he seems to be surronded by all these men adn no women but for some reason he keeps searching for the one thing you would think he already has. that is a little misleading i think. He also has a strong bond with Hassan, the helps son, who is very naturaly smart, or thats the vib i get from reading it, that he picks up on things fast but yet always wants to grow and learn more and could if he only had the opertunity, and amir i think would be the last to give it to him. thats sad also because he is his friend hes not even sure if he thinks he is his friend at frist but then looks at it from a different point of view and sees that he is a good friend of his. He gabs Hassan whenever possible to already verify he is the help and is lower then him and will never be better. this to me was a very telling read it gives you a picture or a clip into some of the characters hearts and personalitys adn wants and needs. waht they long for or waht they dont long for.

2nd post

This is my second post! I have started reading the book the Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. I have only read the first 3 chapters so im not sure exactly how im going to like it but will see.As much as i have read its about this guy wh0 is looking back at his life and right now he is jsut telling us about it or the beginning of it i should say. He was or his father was a very wealthy man and had one of the biggest, prettiest homes in his neighborhood. He played with the servents son alot and was sort of a bad influence on him. He the servents son and also the servent was from a different area and that area was frowned upon by many people. the main characters mother died while giving birth and his father isnt very interested in his son. and the other boys mother ran off after he was born and yet his father is a very sweet man, his father also has a messed up leg from getting polio. and this is all that has happened in my book adn im very much so looking forward to reading on!

In the time of the Butterflies

I havent started reading my book yet so i have to talk about our in class book. I have actually enjoyed this book alot. I have found it very interesting. In this past chapter(#9) Dede has really started to bother me. She has so much to say and never just says it. And i just so strongly dislike her husband i think thats what makes me not like Dede so much because she is so scared of him. i have read on a bit and where im at is that all of the sisters but dede and patria have been arested adn there husbands as well and patrias son. they all moved into there mothers home and are all very scared for there loved ones.
